Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Cleveland Education Compact facilitates

increased collaboration between the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and the

approximately 65 public charter schools in the Cleveland area.

The Cleveland Education Compact creates a framework through which members collaborate as partners in our city-wide effort to improve education for all students. Members of the Compact believe families deserve better schools and a broader choice of excellent schools.

The structure of the Compact is designed to build relationships, share information, monitor progress, and set goals. The Executive Board meets regularly to guide and oversee the development and communication of the Compact to ensure it success.

The Committees are comprised of individuals from our member organizations. Tackling topics like professional development, record sharing, and student supports, the committees develop plans of action, seek out applicable resources, and foster collaborative changes.

If your organization is interested in joining the Compact, please email Lindsey Blackburn at cleveland.compact@gmail.com
